Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most about choosing a sauna, power, delivery, warranty and cold plunges.

Choosing a sauna

What is the difference between infrared and traditional?

A traditional sauna heats the air to 70–110 °C with a heater and stones. An infrared sauna warms the body directly at about 45–75 °C, which feels gentler and starts faster.

How much space does a sauna need?

Our smallest model, Pod, needs under one square metre. A 2-person infrared sauna needs about 1.2 × 1.2 m and roughly 2 m ceiling height. We are happy to help you measure.

What does full-spectrum infrared mean?

Full spectrum means the sauna emits near, mid and far infrared. Far infrared gives the deep warmth, while near infrared works closer to the skin.

Can an outdoor sauna handle British weather?

Yes. Our outdoor models have weatherproof roofs, tight-sealing doors and wood selected to handle rain, frost and wind all year.

Power & installation

How much power does an infrared sauna use?

A typical 2-person infrared sauna uses about 1.5–2 kW per hour. At around 25p per kWh and 3–4 sessions a week, that is roughly £5–£10 a month.

Does the sauna need an electrician?

Smaller infrared models can often plug into a standard 13 A socket. Larger and traditional saunas need a dedicated circuit fitted by a registered (Part P) electrician – we are happy to help coordinate.

How long does assembly take?

Most indoor models are assembled by two people in 1–2 hours. Outdoor and traditional saunas take longer, and here we recommend our installation service.

Quote, delivery & warranty

How does a quote work?

You send a request or call us. We ask a few questions about space, power and wishes and send a written quote with a fixed price incl. VAT and delivery within one business day.

How does delivery work?

The sauna arrives on a pallet to the kerb or is carried in by arrangement. Installation is available across mainland UK – ask for it in your quote.

What warranty do I get?

All saunas and ice baths come with a warranty on cabin and heaters. The exact terms for your model are stated in your quote and on our warranty page.

Ice baths

How cold can the water get?

The Performance series chills to about 0 °C. The Pro series can go below freezing and form floating ice.

Does the water need changing often?

No. Filtration and ozone (plus UV on the Pro series) keep the water clean for a long time. Most people change it every 1–3 months depending on use.
