Sauna culture, Nordic style

Britain has fallen for heat and cold.

From wild swimmers in the Lake District to the sauna huts popping up along the coast from Brighton to Cornwall, the contrast of heat and cold has become a weekly habit for thousands of Brits. With a sauna at home, the ritual fits between morning coffee and the working day – no queues, no bag to pack.

All questions
What is the difference between infrared and traditional?

A traditional sauna heats the air to 70–110 °C with a heater and stones. An infrared sauna warms the body directly at about 45–75 °C, which feels gentler and starts faster.

How much power does an infrared sauna use?

A typical 2-person infrared sauna uses about 1.5–2 kW per hour. At around 25p per kWh and 3–4 sessions a week, that is roughly £5–£10 a month.

Does the sauna need an electrician?

Smaller infrared models can often plug into a standard 13 A socket. Larger and traditional saunas need a dedicated circuit fitted by a registered (Part P) electrician – we are happy to help coordinate.

Can an outdoor sauna handle British weather?

Yes. Our outdoor models have weatherproof roofs, tight-sealing doors and wood selected to handle rain, frost and wind all year.

How does delivery work?

The sauna arrives on a pallet to the kerb or is carried in by arrangement. Installation is available across mainland UK – ask for it in your quote.
